Sterling to miss Reading trip
Liverpool will be without Raheem Sterling for tomorrow’s trip to Reading, as the club continue to manage the teenager’s thigh injury.
The Reds only other absentees are Martin Kelly, Fabio Borini and Joe Allen, who are all out for the season.
Brendon Rodgers men will move to within six points of a Champions League spot should they take all three points, with all of the top four not in action.
A Raheem Sterling goal was enough to give Liverpool their first home win of the season in the reverse fixture back in October, though just eleven wins since has seen the club struggle in their quest for European football next season.
Meanwhile, Martin Skrtel has pledge to fight for his place in the Liverpool side, following reports that he is set to leave the club in the summer.
The Slovakian defender has made just three Premier League starts in 2013, with soon-to-be retired vice-captain Jamie Carragher being selected in favour of him.
Manager Rodgers has been linked with a move for Wales captain Ashley Williams in the summer, with the pair having worked together at Swansea City.
However, Skrtel told his official website that he accepts he must wait for his chance, and hopes that it will come before the season is through.
