Reds ready to raid Wigan?
Brendan Rodgers is reportedly considering moves for Wigan Athletic duo Callum McManaman and James McCarthy.
The Latics look likely to lose some of their key players following their relegation to the Championsip, which was confirmed following their defeat at Arsenal on Tuesday evening; a game that was attended by the Liverpool manager.
The Reds have been linked with Republic of Ireland international McCarthy throughout the season, whilst McManaman, who was released by Everton at 16, capped off a breakthrough campaign with a man of the match performance in the FA Cup final victory against Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Daniel Agger believes that Ajax’s Christian Eriksen would be a perfect fit at Anfield.
“We want to play attacking football with the ball on the ground and that is exactly what Christian Eriksen is all about,” said the Reds defender whilst speaking to the Daily Mail.
Elsewhere, Sporting Lisbon’s Tiago Ilori is the latest defender to be linked with a move to Anfield.
The Daily Mail report that Liverpool are lining up a £3.5 million bid for the 20 year old, who has been one of his sides most consistent performers since breaking into the first team.
Valencia are also said to be interested in the Portugal U19 international.
