Carroll likely to stay

Andy Carroll will reportedly reject a move West Ham United, following reports that the club agreed a fee with Liverpool earlier this month.

The England international spent the second half of the season on loan with the Hammers, scoring seven league goals.
However, the 24 year old is reportedly keen to prove himself at Anfield.

Carroll joined the Reds from Newcastle United in January 2011 for £35 million, a record for a British player.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been placed on alert after Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup hinted that his captain Ashley Williams may leave the club.

The Reds, along with Arsenal, have long been linked with the Wales defender, who has been valued at £10 million.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star have claimed that Pepe Reina could sign for Barcelona in the next two weeks, after his agent flew in for talks with Liverpool.

The La Liga champions are hopeful of agreeing an £8 million deal for the goalkeeper, who began his career at the Nou Camp, with current number one Victor Valdes looking likely to join newly promoted, mega rich Ligue 1 club Monaco.

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is most likely to be Brendan Rodgers first port of call should Reina move on.
