Suarez included in per-season tour squad
Liverpool have included want away striker Luis Suarez in their twenty-eight man squad for their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.
The 26 year old will miss the opening six games of next season as he completes a ten match ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in the 2-2 draw at Anfield back in April, and has repeatedly said that he wants to move away from Merseyside.
However, Sky Sports understand that, despite citing the English media as one of the main reasons for him wishing to leave, the Uruguayan may be willing to remain in the Premier League amid interest from Arsenal.
The Gunners are reportedly planning an improved bid of around £35m for Suarez, while Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the player, who was Liverpool’s top scorer with 30 goals last season.
Elsewhere, the Daily Star have claimed the Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has rejected the advances of Bayer Leverkusen in favour of a move to Anfield.
The 21 year old is set to be sold by the Dutch champions after he recently entered the final year of his contract.
The reports will be welcomed by Reds fans after the club lost out on Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
