Suarez training along as saga rumbles on
Luis Suarez will be made to train alone as a punishment for his attitude over the past fortnight, according to the Mail Online.
The 26 year old has been reprimanded after accusing the club, and manager Brendan Rodgers of breaking promises and not telling the truth.
Rodgers is furious with the Uruguay international, saying that he has shown “total disrespect” to the club.
The ex-Ajax man looks increasingly likely to be heading towards the Anfield exit door, with the player odds on with the bookmakers to secure a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners, who have so far failed with two bids for the striker, are reportedly lining up a fresh bid which would exceed the current British record transfer fee of £50m that Chelsea paid for Fernando Torres in 2011.
Away from the Suarez saga, Jay Spearing is on the verge of joining Bolton Wanderers on a permanent deal, the Liverpool Echo understands.
The 24 year old spent the majority of last season on loan with the Trotters, going on to be named their player of the year, and is now set for a medical with Dougie Freedman’s side.
Finally, the Reds have been drawn at home to Notts County in the second round of the Capital One Cup, with the tie to be played in the week commencing August 26th.
