Liverpool complete Cissokho deal
Liverpool have unveiled Aly Cissokho at Anfield after the defender completed his loan move from Valencia.
The Mail Online has reported that the 25 year old is raring to go after signing for, what he described, as a ‘really legendary club.’
The France international, who will battle with Jose Enrique for the left-back slot, could make his debut in Saturday’s match at Aston Villa.
He will wear the number 20 shirt, previously owned by Jay Spearing, who signed for Bolton Wanderers earlier this summer.
Cissokho is the fifth new signing by the club this summer, and follows Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Kolo Toure and Simon Mignolet in to the club.
Meanwhile, defender Sebastian Coates is facing up to six months on the side-lines, Sky Sports understands.
It has been revealed that the 22 year old needs surgery on the knee injury he sustained in the final minutes of Uruguay’s friendly with Japan last week.
Coates signed for the Reds two summers ago, but has only made twelve Premier League appearances to date.
Finally, the Reds look set to miss out on the signing of Brazil international Willian who, along with Roma’s Erik Lamela looks set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur, the Mail Online understands.
