Suarez could be sold in January
Liverpool are preparing to sell Luis Suarez for £50m when the transfer window reopens in January, the Metro understands.
The Uruguay striker has made an impressive return to the Reds first team having missed ten games through suspension, scoring three goals in his two league appearances.
However, the club reportedly believe that the 26 year old, who is set to win his 72nd international cap against Argentina in the early hours of tomorrow morning, is still keen on securing a move away from Anfield.
The former Ajax man’s current deal with Liverpool runs until 2016, meaning that any offer for the player below £50m will be rejected out of hand.
Arsenal failed with two bids for the striker during the summer, while Real Madrid are believed to be attempting to offload France international Karim Benzema as they look to fund an offer of their own.
Meanwhile, somebody who could potentially replace Suarez in Brendan Rodgers’ side is Barcelona forward Cristian Tello, who has expressed a desire to play more first team football.
The Daily Star understands that Liverpool may be prepared to revisit their interest in the 22 year old, who has started just two games in La Liga this season.
