Rodgers relaxed on Suarez
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is relaxed regarding Luis Suarez’s contact situation, according to Sky Sports.
The Uruguay international has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal, and the club are keen on securing his services for an extended period.
Managing director Ian Ayre flew to Barcelona to open talks with the striker’s agent Pere Guardiola on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Rodgers’ has lent his support to Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay ahead of Saturday afternoon’s meeting at Anfield.
Mackay has endured a difficult relationship with Bluebird’s owner Vincent Tan over the past few weeks, with the Malaysian businessman dismissing the club’s head of recruitment Iain Moody earlier in the season.
Tan also recently blasted his manager for discussing potential transfer targets, leading to speculation that the Scot could be on his way out.
Rodgers, who knows Mackay well from their time together at Watford, is astonished at the treatment dished out to his counterpart.
Elsewhere, MK Dons are set to make a loan move for Liverpol’s Michael Ngoo when the transfer window reopens next month, according to the Mail Online.
The England U20 international had a relatively unsuccessful loan spell with Yeovil Town earlier this season, where he failed to score in six appearances.
