Agger committed to the cause
Daniel Agger has revealed that he fully intends to honour his contract with Liverpool, amid rumours that he is a potential target for Barcelona.
The Danish international, who has made more appearances this season than in any other since arriving at Anfield back in 2006, told the Daily Post:
“I still have three years left and I intend to fulfill them”.
Agger’s admission will surely be welcomed by the club, who are set to lose a host of defenders this summer.
Jamie Carragher will bring to an end his playing career following the visit of Queens Park Rangers a week on Sunday, while Martin Skrtel and Sebastian Coates have both been linked with moves away from Anfield.
Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge has told the same website that he has found a new lease of life since arriving at Anfield.
The England international has impressed since signing for £12 million in January, scoring eight goals in fourteen appearances, a tally which includes strikes against both Manchester clubs and Chelsea.
Elsewhere, the club are reportedly leading the pack in the chase for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Kenyan international, who is valued at around £25 million, has also been linked with moves to Arsenal, Manchester United and Southampton.
