Andy Carroll passes West Ham medical
Andy Carroll is set to complete his £15million move to West Ham United after passing his medical with the club.
The England international, who spent the majority of last season on loan at Upton Park, was due to undergo his physical assessment today though the Hammers were able to bring proceedings forward by 24 hours.
There had been concerns over Carroll’s fitness, after the 24 year old missed the two recent England international friendlies with a heel injury, though the move can now be finalised.
Meanwhile, the Premier League fixture list for the forthcoming season has been announced.
The Reds begin the season by hosting Stoke City on August 17th, while their second home game of the season will be against league champions Manchester United.
The first leg of the Merseyside derby will take place at Goodison Park on November 23rd while Liverpool host Everton on January 28th.
Boxing Day see’s the club travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City, while 2014 begins with a home game against Hull City.
The trip to Old Trafford is scheduled for March 15th, while Newcastle United come to Anfield for the final game of the season on May 11th.
