Arsenal in for Suarez?
Arsenal appear to have entered the race to sign Luis Suarez after one bookmakers made the Emirates the Uruguayan’s most likely destination after the summer transfer window.
William Hill have slashed the odds of the Gunners signing the 26 year old to just 6/5, with Real Madrid next in the list.
It is no huge surprise that Arsenal have been linked, as manager Arsene Wenger has been on the lookout for a new forward since the end of the last season, though a deal for Gonzalo Higuain is expected to be completed in the next few days.
Whether the North Londoners are in the market for more than one forward remains to be seen, but one thing that is for sure is that Suarez has been told he must join up with the Reds on their pre-season tour.
He will miss the Indonesia leg as he recovers from participating in the Confederations Cup, but is expected to be involved from July 22nd, the Mail Online understands.
Meanwhile, Swansea City have completed the signing of Jonjo Shelvey in a £5million, four year deal.
The midfielder becomes the fifth player to leave the club since the end of last season, following the departures of Andy Carroll, Danny Wilson and Peter Gulacsi and the retirement of Jamie Carragher.
