Aspas completes Reds move
Liverpool have completed the signing of Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas, subject to international clearance.
A deal was agreed last week, with both sides waiting on paperwork before confirming the transfer.
The Spaniard, who is thought to have put pen to paper on a long term contract at Anfield, scored twelve goals in twenty-five appearances last season, helping his side retain their La Liga status against Espanyol on the final day.
He becomes the Reds second signing in three days, after his compatriot Luis Alberto completed his move from Sevilla.
Both players are set to be joined by goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who is expected to sign from Sunderland next week, news which has been welcomed by current Reds first choice shot stopper Pepe Reina.
The 30 year old, who is currently on international duty with Spain at the Confederations Cup in Brazil, told reporters that he remains happy at Anfield and will relish the competition, should a deal be done for the Belgian.
Elsewhere, the Mirror has reported that Brendan Rodgers is ready to part company with both Jonjo Shelvey and Jay Spearing.
The club will reportedly target £7 million for Shelvey, who was linked with Stoke City prior to the dismissal of manager Tony Pulis while Spearing, who spent last season on loan with Bolton Wanderers, will command a fee of around £3 million.
