Brendan Rodgers didnt make Changes in Liverpool
The winter transfer window ended a few weeks ago and Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers did not make any big changes or signings in January but even though nothing really happened in the squad, Brendan Rodgers remains happy and confident about how his team has been developing which is why the manager decided not to have an active transfer window.
“With the group of players we have and obviously the market dictates it as well. I am happy with how the team and the squad is developing and between now and the end of the season we’ll look to continue with that improvement. We would want to keep all the players here.”
Mario Balotelli was one of the few players in the team of Brendan Rodgers who was being linked with a move outside of Liverpool after having endured a disastrous campaign with Liverpool as the Italian forward has only managed to score 1 Premier League goal in 13 appearances.
It was rumored that the patience of Brendan Rodgers was starting to run out and the manager was starting to take into consideration selling Balotelli due to his underwhelming performances as he is not able to score goals on a consistent basis but things have started to change for Balotelli in Anfield.
February has been a huge month for Balotelli as he managed to score the winning goal during Liverpool’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur which resulted with a final scoreboard of 3-2. This was a huge victory for Liverpool as they still have a chance on securing a European spot for the upcoming season.
Balotelli was also able to score the only goal of the entire match during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Besiktas in their Europa League 1st leg, in a match in which betfair had tipped them to lose.
The Italian forward has finally started to score goals for Liverpool which is good news for Brendan Rodgers who has had a lot of patience for the patience for the €16 million signing but he will have to continue scoring important goals in order to avoid being transferred to another club.
