Eriksen set to leave Ajax
Ajax Director of Football Marc Overmars believes the midfielder Christian Eriksen will not be signing a new contract with the Eredivise leaders, paving the way for a move to the Premier League.
Liverpool have been linked with the Danish international for some months, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also said to be interested.
However, Ajax have moved to deny that a deal has already been finalised with the Reds, with the Dutch club’s press mangers stating that “at this time there is no agreement” between the clubs.
The 21 year old has told the club that he will be leaving Amsterdam, though he is expected to have a number of options.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers is targeting a move for Barcelona’s promising young forward Sergi Canos.
The 16 year old, who can also play on the wings, has been scoring prolifically in the La Masia Academy, and is reportedly keen on a move to Liverpool according to the Express.
Another young forward on Liverpool’s radar is hotly tipped Norwegian Bard Finne of SK Brann.
The 18 year old, whose contract expires in December, scored four goals in nine games after making his debut for the Tippeligaen side last season.
