Henderson and Agger back for Spurs clash
Liverpool will be keen to keep pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal as they travel to the Gunners’ North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds go in to the weekend five points off Arsene Wenger’s men who travel to Manchester City and joint on points with third place Chelsea who host Crystal Palace.
Captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out for up to six weeks, though manager Brendan Rodgers has been boosted by Jordan Henderson’s recovery from a bruised ankle.
Defender Daniel Agger is also available after missing last weekend’s 4-1 win over West Ham United through illness.
Meanwhile, Barcelona forward Cristian Tello has said that he is happy at the Catalan club amid reports linking him with a move to Merseyside, Sky Sports understands.
The 22 year old winger has seen his first team opportunities with the La Liga champions limited this season, but scored his first goal of the campaign in the 6-1 win over Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Liverpool were linked with a move for the Spain international in the summer, and there has been talk over them reigniting their interest when the transfer window reopens next month.
