Johnson pushing for Reds recall
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from their FA Cup disappointment last weekend with three points against Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.
Glen Johnson is pushing for a return to first team action, though Mamadou Sakho, Lucas and Jose Enrqiue all remain out with their respective injuries.
The sides drew 2-2 when they met in South Wales back in September, while the Reds ran out 5-0 winners in last season’s corresponding fixture last February.
Meanwhile, top scorer Luis Suarez is determined to be involved in next seasons Champions League with Liverpool, insisting it is where he ‘wants to be’, according to TalkSport.
The Uruguay international has been in fine form this season, scoring twenty-three goals in the Premier League to help give his side a fighting chance of making a return to Europe’s top competition after an absence of five years.
Suarez looked certain to move away from Anfield back in the summer, but signed a new deal with the club back in December.
It has since been revealed that the contract includes a £70m buy-out clause for non-English clubs should Liverpool not make the top-four.
However, the 27 year old appears to have no thoughts of moving on, with his sole focus being on continuing his fine form and helping the Reds secure their position in the league.
