Liverpool enter race to sign Sagna
Liverpool have joined the race to sign Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna, the Metro understands.
The France international looks set to leave the Gunners at the end of the season, with the club reluctant to offer any player over the age of thirty more than a one year contract extension.
A number of clubs are said to be interested in the defender, with Inter Milan also strongly linked though reports in Italy have suggested that Brendan Rodgers’ side have stolen a march on their rivals with a lucrative offer.
Sagna, who has been with Arsenal for the past six and a half seasons, has made over 200 Premier League appearances under Arsene Wenger though his only major honour came during his time with Auxerre, where he won the Coupe de France in 2005.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Aly Cissokho when the transfer window reopens, TalkSport understands.
The defender is currently on loan moved to Liverpool on loan from Valencia last summer, though the Reds are unlikely to attempt to make the deal permanent.
Finally, Pepe Reina has reiterated his belief that he has played his final game for Liverpool, according to Sky Sports.
The goalkeeper is currently enjoying a loan spell with Napoli under former Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
