Liverpool linked with surprise move for Tevez
Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, according to the Mirror.
The Reds were originally linked with a move for the player back early last year, and have again shown an interest as the look for potential replacements for Luis Suarez, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield.
The Argentine international has just one year left on his contract with the Premier League runners-up, so could be available for as little as £8million though his wages, thought to be in the region of £200k per week, may prove to be a stumbling block.
Tevez who switched from the Red half of Manchester to the Blue back in 2009, scored eleven goals in thirty-four league appearances for City last season.
Elsewhere, the Mail Online understand that Norwich City have shown an interest in signing Jonjo Shlevey.
The midfielder had a fairly successful run in the first team back in December, but started just two league games since New Year.
The Reds are holding out for a fee between £5million and £8million for the man they signed from Charlton Athletic back in 2010.
The 21 year old is currently out in Israel as part of England’s squad for the Under 21 European Championships.
