LIVERPOOL PLAN BIG SUMMER MOVES

Liverpool FC prepares to bolster their attack ahead of next season with plans to sign top European targets when the transfer window re-opens in August.


According to the latest reports, the Anfield outfit is keen on capturing the signatures of Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dynamo Kyiv’s Andriy Yarmolenko.

Liverpool head coach, Jurgen Klopp worked with the Gabon striker, Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund and is considering the speedy striker as the perfect replacement for struggling Daniel Sturridge who has had a difficult campaign in front of goal with just two goals in the Premier League haven made five league starts this term. The former Chelsea man has spend much of his time either on the bench or being laid-off due to injury.

The director of Borussia Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Waztke has disclosed that Aubameyang would be available at a fee around £60m, putting top clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea in a race for his signature. The 27-year-old has been enjoying another successful season at Dortmund scoring 20 goals in all competitions this term.

On the other hand, Yarmolenko has long been linked with a move to the Premier League for the last several seasons, and Liverpool has indicated interest in the pacy winger. The 27-year-old Ukraine international has also been a regular member of Dynamo Kyiv scoring five goals and contributing four assists this season. The winger has chalked up 28 goals featuring 66 times for the Ukraine National team.

Yarmolenko’s current contract runs till the summer of 2020, but sources revealed the Ukrainian giants are ready to sell their star man for just £9m.

Liverpool would have to stick to their current options upfront as the second half of the season continues with the club aiming to maintain top spot on the log to guarantee a Champion’s League place next season.
