Reina here to stay?
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has announced that he intends to see out his contract at the club, amid reports that he is set to re-join Spanish giants Barcelona.
The 30 year old goalkeeper, whose current deal runs to 2016, had been tipped to replace compatriot Victor Valdes, who will leave the Catalan club at the end of the season.
Elsewhere, Debrecen goalkeeper Vukasin Poleksic has denied trying to fix his side’s Champions League clash with Liverpool.
The Montenegrin, who was banned for two years after failing to report approaches from match fixtures in 2010, was reportedly asked to ensure that there were three or more goals in the match at Anfield in 2009.
The Express have reported that Liverpool could offer striker Andy Carroll back to Newcastle United in an attempt to sign the Magpies French midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.
Carroll, who is currently on loan to West Ham United, returned to first team action by scoring the winning goal against Swansea at the weekend.
