Skrtel set to leave?
Martin Skrtel has revealed that he is unsure if he will start another game for Liverpool, having fallen out of favour with manager Brendon Rodgers.
The Slovakian defender has made just two appearances for the Reds since the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United back in January – the FA cup loss to Oldham and the Europa League first leg loss at Zenit St. Petersburg.
The 28 year old is currently side-lined with a knee injury, though with Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger seemingly Rodgers’ preferred pairing at the back, a move away from Anfield is a likely outcome, most likely at the end of the season though should he decide on a return to Russia, he could leave in the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has claimed that he has made contact with Liverpool over a potential summer transfer.
The 27 year old, who has fifty full international caps for Mexico, has appeared in every Ligue 1 fixture for his club this season, and describes a potential move to Anfield as ‘a dream’.
Finally, Luis Suarez has escaped punishment for UEFA over a clash with defender Tomas Hubocan during last week’s Europa League last 32 second leg with Zenit St. Petersburg at Anfield.
The Uruguayan scored two splendid free kicks during the 3-1 victory, though Liverpool exited the competition on the away goals rule.
