Sturridge treble seals Reds victory
Liverpool’s penultimate game of the season ended in victory as a hat-trick from Daniel Sturridge inspired them to victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The hosts took the lead through Dimitar Berbatov on 33 minutes; though Sturridge drew the Reds level three minutes later.
The England international then slotted in his second to give Liverpool the advantage before chipping in a third to seal his first ever treble.
The former Chelsea man has now hit eleven goals in fifteen appearances since signing in January, and will be looking to add to that tally in the final game of the season against Queens Park Rangers at Anfield on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Mirror have reported that the club have opened talks with Lille left-back Lucas Diagne.
The hotly rated teenager, who has played at all youth levels for France, has also been linked with Ajax, Udinese and both Manchester clubs.
The rumours throw into question the future of Jose Enrique, who could make way 19 year old who is valued at around £8 million.
Elsewhere, Andy Carroll has reportedly declared that he is willing to take a pay-cut as he considers a move away from Anfield, with former club Newcastle United his most likely destination.
