Suarez confident of Reds title challenge
Luis Suarez has told Sky Sports that he believes that Liverpool can challenge for the title if they maintain their current level of performance.
The Reds have scored fourteen goals in their last three league games whilst picking up maximum points against Norwich City, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Another three points against Cardiff City on Saturday lunchtime will see them return to the top of the Premier League, and they will remain there on Christmas Day should Arsenal fail to beat Chelsea on Monday evening.
Brendan Rodgers’ men then finish the year with a tricky double header, first travelling to Manchester City on Boxing Day and then to Chelsea three days later.
Elsewhere, Napoli are set to make an audacious loan bid for Reds defender Daniel Agger when the transfer window reopens next month, the Mail Online understands.
Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is keen on securing a short term deal for the Denmark international.
Meanwhile, TalkSport understands that the Serie A side have also entered the race to sign Xabi Alonso.
The Real Madrid midfielder, 32, has also been strongly linked with a return to Anfield, where he spent five seasons before switching to the Spanish capital.
