Suarez on Atletico’s radar
Atletico Madrid are the latest club thought to be planning a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, as the La Liga side look to replace Radamel Falcao, who is set to leave the Calderon this summer.
Chelsea are the favourites to land Falcao for a fee in the region of £50 million, which would aid Atletico in making a bid for the Reds top scorer, who is currently serving a ten-game suspension for biting an opponent.
The Uruguayan had already been linked with Bayern Munich and Juventus, though it is thought that Spain would be a preferable option.
Atletico Madrid currently sit third in La Liga, and are all but certain to be playing in the Champions League proper next season.
Meanwhile, another Reds player linked with a move to Spain is defender Daniel Agger, who remains a target for Barcelona.
Agger, who opened the scoring in Saturday’s rout at Newcastle, was linked with the La Liga leaders earlier this year, as they look to bring in reinforcements for next season.
Finally, it has been revealed that Jamie Carragher will join Sky Sports as a pundit next season.
Carragher will retire from professional football next month after making over 700 appearances over 17 years for the Reds.
